The Rijksmuseum is supported by funds and (family) foundations for purchases, education, restoration and science.
Our projects
Music in the Rijksmuseum
At its “Good Money Gala” the BankGiro Lottery pledged an extra €580,000 for the “Music in the Rijksmuseum” project. We plan to use this to create a varied musical programme for a broad audience.
Teekenschool
‘Learning to look by doing’ is the common thread in the programmes, workshops and courses offered by the Teekenschool. There are three studios: a visual arts studio, a multimedia studio and a 'Golden Age' studio where history is key.
Late Rembrandt exhibition
The Rijksmuseum presents the first major retrospective of the later work of Rembrandt van Rijn: a once-in-a-lifetime event. Over 100 works from leading museums and private collections from around the world were on display here in Amsterdam.
Masterpiece by Adriaen de Vries in the Rijksmuseum
The masterpiece by Adriaen de Vries (1556-1626) has been acquired in December 2014 with generous support. The bronze is considered to be one of his best works.
Tiffany & Co. Foundation
In The Tiffany & Co. Foundation Gallery, a spectacular display case stretching fifteen metres showcases 300 gems from the eighth century up to the 1960s.
Rijksmuseum Fellowship Programme
The Rijksmuseum operates a research Fellowship Programme for outstanding candidates working on the art and history of the Low Countries whose principal concern is object-based research.
Photography and glass collections: restoration, conservation and research
The Rijksmuseum has a rich and varied collection. To preserve this for future generations, research and conservation are vital. And sharing knowledge is a crucial part of that.
