inscription: ‘Afbeelding van het Huys en de tuijn met een paarde stal voor 20 paarden en vijver waar agter nog een stuk sawaveld of rystland van 2 pantjar groot en nog een huisje met een stuk tuinland aan de rivier de sonthar, alwaar ik J Brandes na het overlyden van myn moeder den 19 mey 1780 van myn elfde maand af met myn vader gewoond heb, namelyk van den 7 Juny 1780, kostende deze tuyn en land mij 3500 Rds. en de opdragt 271:16, zynde geleegen een half uur gaans, of 2 paalen, buiten Batavia, even booven de post of schans Jacatra genaamt, een weynig van de groote weg van Jacatra af na de rievier de sonthar toe. Een pantjar padi of Rystveld is 100 roeden lang en 20 breed of 2000 vierkante roeden.’

Kleurtekening van een wit huis met verdieping met bijgebouwen en stallen en aanpalend land waarin Brandes woonde van 7 juni 1780 tot zijn vertrek uit Batavia 26 augustus 1785. Met opschrift. Onderdeel uit het schetsboek van Jan Brandes, dl. 2 (1808), p. 239.
