inscription: ‘de doorgesnede bloessem a) 3 groene dikke blaadjes buiten b) 3 geele dikke blaadjes bin... c) de harde vrugt schil van binnen het hart waar uit d) de vrugt zelfs als een muscaat noot (indien ze rijp is) voortkomt’
inscription: ‘waare groote. Een takje van de bloessem van een pinang opvangding [?] ruikende pinang tros de vrugt word zo groot als een eij, zie aan de andere zyde. 27 Nov 1783.’

Description

Kleurtekening van ingrediënten van sirih. De areca- of betelnoot, gambergom en diverse manieren van vouwen van het betelblad. Bloesemtak van een pinangboom. Met opschrift. Onderdeel uit het schetsboek van Jan Brandes, dl. 1 (1808), p. 204 en zie ook p. 47-48, 93-94, 203.
