Shunshi was an occasional amateur designer.
A coastal view with a rock in the foreground, various shells around it. Across the water, the first sunrise of the New Year marked by a red sun.
This is a rather amateurish depiction of Enoshima Island and its surroundings.
This print is a picture calendar, egoyomi, for the New Year of the Snake 1797, the numerals for the long months, 1, 3, 5, 8, 10, 11 and 12, on the rock; those for the short months, 2, 4, 6, 7, intercalary 7, and 9, on the shells. For the connection between Enoshima Island and the Year of the Snake, see RP-P-1991-611.
One haiku poem by Chizuru.
The poem refers to Kinkizan, an alternative name for the Enoshima Island.
