Description
Een moskee is niet alleen een gebedsruimte, maar heeft ook andere functies. Veel oudere moslims zijn analfabeet en in de moskee kan men brieven laten schrijven. Een belangrijke functie van de moskee is ook die van ontmoetingsplaats. Vooral voor vrouwen, omdat die veel geïsoleerder leven dan mannen. Moskee in de Batjanstraat te Amsterdam.
