Flintlock muzzle-loading pistol.
The barrel, marked with crossed anchors, is secured to the stock with a steel band, which in turn is attached to the stock with a strap. Brass butt cap, trigger guard and pan. Basic iron flintlock. On the opposite side of the lock, the pistol has a belt hook. The ramrod is missing
This pistol largely conforms to the Dutch Army regulation pistol M 1820 for the cavalry. According to Obreen this type of pistol was still in use in 1858.1.
