Model of a chain anchor, consisting of a shank with a bent arm with flukes and a wooden anchor stock and a shackle for a ring.
The shank of chain anchors was shorter and heavier than in common anchors to compensate for the weight of the chain. The puddened anchor ring has been replaced by a shackle.1
Scale (estimate) 1:10.
