Demonstration model of an Archimedean screw.3 The screw is placed vertically in a wooden tank and is operated by gears by means of a handle. The raised water is led back into the tank over a short lip.
This model is probably one of two mentioned by Jochem Pietersz Asmus (1755-1837) as part of his private collection in 1807.4
