Simple trumpet-shaped foghorn, painted grey and red, with a mouthpiece and a rope lanyard; it is covered with cloth for about half its length. The mouthpiece has a reed inside and a clip on the outside.
L.J. Lefèbre’s horns were tested at IJmuiden on the Dutch North Sea coast on 29 September 1877.
