Silver cup with on both sides naval and war attributes in a garland, a crowned H and the above-mentioned inscription. The stem consists of two entwined fantastic fishes squirting water, and reed. The foot has a water-like relief pattern and the edges are decorated with cables. The lid is decorated with a standing sailor with a flag and an anchor, cables and a belt with inscription on the edges. It is marked with the manufacturer’s marks, a dating mark (F = 1865), and hallmarks.
Lieutenant Admiral Engelbert Lucas (1785-1870) had a long and distinguished career in the Dutch Navy and was Secretary of the Navy from 1849 to 1850.
