Three types of night signals, two of each, used by the Russian Navy. The first type is a pole with a flintlock and pan at the end, in which a pyrotechnic mixture is placed to produce a flare. Halfway up is a trigger for the flintlock. The second type is a pole with a fuse holder at the end, over which a cylinder can be lowered, hiding the flame. The third type looks like a linstock with a fuse holder at the end, which is clenched together by a ring.
