Still Life with a Pewter Flagon and Two Ming Bowls, Jan Jansz Treck. It is a beautiful still life. Lovely composition, nice contrasts and interesting textures.
Simple objects, diffused lighting, warm setting.
Intensifying the hues does not alter the look of tenderness of the maid.
The scene appears to be tranquil, however, the woman is holding the letter tightly - makes one wonder what the message is.
