The Rijksmuseum would be nowhere without your support. For generations. In everything we do. Your contribution matters more than ever. For now and in the future. For young and old.

Acquisitions
The Rijksmuseum is the Netherlands’ national museum of art and history. There are more than a million objects in the Rijksmuseum collection, and 8,000 of them form the integrated permanent display. The collection is constantly being augmented so we can continue to tell the story of the Netherlands as completely as possible. Donations are of crucial importance to the museum, allowing us to make new acquisitions. Would you like to help us to continue enriching the collection?
Education and accessibility
The Rijksmuseum provides educational programmes for all ages, ranging from treasure hunts for visiting schoolchildren to fellowships for young scholars. The museum belongs to everyone, and it is open to everyone. Our priority is to make sure it stays relevant and accessible to all. Your donation will help us make the museum even more accessible, such as by developing a tour for blind and partially sighted people or holding an event for isolated senior citizens.

Conservation and restoration
Behind the scenes at the Rijksmuseum, conservators, scientists and restorers are working to preserve the collection in the best possible condition, in readiness for display. As a centre of expertise, we give young researchers the opportunity to acquire knowledge and develop their skills as conservators and restorers. Support us to help fund valuable research projects and educate talented professionals.

Exhibitions
Each year, the Philips Wing of the Rijksmuseum hosts numerous temporary exhibitions and displays on art and history. Temporary exhibitions are an opportunity to place the collection in a different context to tell visitors new stories. Your donation will help us realise exhibitions and contextual activities, including podcasts, educational programmes and exhibition catalogues.
Operation Night Watch
In July 2019 the Rijksmuseum embarked on the most multifaceted ever research and restoration project devoted to Rembrandt’s most famous work. Operation Night Watch will be carried out over the coming years – in a glass chamber so the visiting public can follow its progress. Would you like to help pass on The Night Watch to future generations?
