Gezicht op de haven van Sūrat in Gujarāt tijdens een gevecht tussen Engelse en Hollandse schepen. De ommuurde stad ligt aan de overzijde van het water waar de zeeslag woedt. Op de voorgrond Indiërs en vee, rechts enkele westerlingen te paard en in een wagen.
