Hollandse troepen trekken door de vestingstad Dendermonde. Rechts marcheren de soldaten over de Bogaerdbrug en gaan in de richting van de Veerstraat. Links de Scheldestraat (thans de Franz Courtensstraat) met de kade, waaraan een boot met een Hollandse vlag ligt gemeerd. Op de kade officieren te paard. Rechts een viertal huizen van de Kasteelstraat.
