Description

Portret van Patrona Halil, voormalig zeesoldaat, die sultan Ahmed III van de troon stootte en Mahmud I voor hem in de plaats verhief, 28 september 1730. Staande, ten voeten uit, met een opgeheven zwaard in de rechterhand, rechts enkele van zijn volgelingen. Op de achtergrond een gezicht op de eerste binnenplaats van de Serail, waar links de lichamen van de bij de coup omgekomen personen worden weggedragen.
