Denucé, Na Peter Pauwel Rubens, Antwerp 1949, pp. 188-90), that an inventory of 1659 was of works of art belonging to Snijders, which claim was followed by Robels (H. Robels, Frans Snyders, Stilleben- und Tiermaler, 1579-1657, Munich 1989, p. 54) and Koslow (S. Koslow, Frans Snyders: The Noble Estate. Seventeenth-Century Still-Life and Animal Painting in the Southern Netherlands, Antwerp 1995, p. 27 and note 72). Duverger pointed out that the inventory was in fact two separate lists of works of art of unattributed ownership.
