De schoenmakerswerkplaats. De oude schoenmaker bezig met maken of herstellen van schoenen in de werkplaats. Naast hem is zijn vrouw wol aan het spinnen, links een leerjongen. Aan de muur hangt een tekening van een masnkop, rechts op de achtergrond een groep kaartende mannen rond een tafel.
