Moederzorg. Interieur met een moeder die haar kind kamt. Rechts trekt een meisje bekken voor een spiegel. Op de voorgrond ligt een baret met pluimen op een bankje. Links een kat met een balletje en een speelgoed molentje. Op de achtergrond staat een meid met een blad in de deuropening.
