Description

De beul legt het hoofd van Johannes de Doper op de schaal, die Salomé vasthoudt. rechts een gevangene die aan de muur is geketend. Door de deuropening is te zien hoe Salomé de schaal met het hoofd aanbiedt aan Herodes en Herodias. Onder de voorstelling een tweeregelige tekst in het Latijn en een verwijzing naar de Bijbeltekst in Mat. 14.
