Description

Allegorische voorstelling met figuren uit het Oude Testament. Links Adam en Eva, Isaak en Abraham en Noach. Rechts Mozes en Aäron en koning David. Christus troont op een wolk in de hemel, omringd door de symbolen van de vier evangelisten. Boven zijn hoofd brandt de vlam van geloofsijver. Hij vertrapt de Dood (als skelet). In de hemel een tetragram als symbool van God de Vader. Onder de voorstelling in een cartouche met het devies van Picart in het Latijn de titel en het impressum in het Frans. In de marge een tweeregelig Bijbelcitaat uit Heb. 11:13 in het Frans.
