Maria pakt het naakte christuskind vast, dat uit zijn kribbe stapt, terwijl zowel Jozef, als Johannes in de armen van Elisabet, toekijken. Een engel houdt bloemen boven het hoofd van Maria. Onder de voorstelling een onderschrift in Latijn.
