Juno Decorating her Peacocks with the Eyes of Argus, Magdalena van de Passe, after Peter Paul Rubens, c. 1636 - 1670
At first glance these two prints seem identical, but if you look closely, you will see differences. The impression at the top is a proof: an unfinished state of the print. Sketchy lines are visible in the right background. Magdalena de Passe may have wanted to add figures here. However, she abandoned this idea in the final version, filling the empty space with a cloudy sky.
