Untitled (Series of 4 Prints), Carel Visser, 1972
Carel Visser’s graphic work is closely related to his sculpture: he favours plain clearly organized forms for both. In this series he printed straight pieces of wood, like a stamp. He began with a square divided into four, and continued by removing elements from it. Through a bisected and then a blank square, the image is thus transformed into two separate linear forms.
