Fashion Sketches for Summer Gowns, anonymous, after Raoul Dufy, 1920
The fabrics of these summer gowns were designed by the artist Raoul Dufy and were produced by the renowned silk manufacturer Bianchini Férier, who employed Dufy as a designer from 1912 until 1928. Their collaboration helped to make Dufy one of the pre-eminent textile designers of the 20th century. One of the cloaks is a creation by Poiret.
