De kust bij Futami, tijdens zonsopgang; op het strand de beroemde 'getrouwde rotsen' (Meoto-iwa), deze twee met een touw aan elkaar verbonden rotsen symboliseren de god Izanagi en de godin Izanami, de mythologische scheppers van Japan.
