Description

Twee courtisanes, elk gevolgd door een shinzo (courtisane in opleiding) en twee kamuro (jongste hulp van een courtisane). Het patroon van waaiers, pijnboom- en pruimenbloesemtakken op de kimono van de shinzo, verwijst naar Nieuwjaar. Boven elk van de courtisanes een klassiek gedicht, naar verluidt in hun eigen handschrift.
