Description

Twee hofdames in kleding uit de Heian periode (794-1185) zitten bij een kooi met een fazant. Aan de kooi hangt een spiegel. De schelp waarnaar de titel verwijst, is afgebeeld in het waaiervormige cartouche. Met drie gedichten.
