Op de voorgrond een bacchanaal met allerlei Romeinse mythologische figuren, onder andere Pan en Midas. In het midden een graftombe met daarop de titel van het boek en een medaillon met de bustes van Junius Juvenalis en Persius Flaccus. Op de achtergrond scènes uit het klassieke Rome.
