Pages from the Photographer’s Album, Hendrik Herman van den Berg (circle of), in or after 1890 - in or before 1894
The photographer’s father was the director of De Nederlandsche Bank (Central Bank of the Netherlands) on Rokin in Amsterdam, where the family lived as well. The young amateur photographed his friends in his room and even on the roof of the building. He also took his camera along out of doors, for instance to the square behind the Rijksmuseum where people played tennis and rode horses.
