Wooden model of a ship’s galley, painted black.
The model is fitted with copper doors, roof and shelves, painted black and standing on six legs. The right-hand half is higher than the left and has a chimney. The left-hand side has a hot plate with three round holes for pots and pans. At the front five doors are indicated and on the right one more. Fire is made in the hearth with a grating to the far left, the hot air and smoke are conducted to the right over the lower compartment, which has two doors and two levels, and then around the high compartment back to the chimney in the middle.
