Model of a drawbridge mounted on a wooden base.
The bridge consists of two identical halves, which are lifted by operating the counterweights on the beams at the top.
This drawbridge was the first bridge in the inner harbour of the Navy dockyard of Rotterdam, which was closed in 1850.1
