Description

Stapelmodel (stuurboord) van een driemast schroefstoomschip. Gesloten dek met achter een kleine bovencampanje; midscheeps zijn kooiverschansingen aangegeven. Klippersteven; elliptisch hek, schroefraam en roer met afgerond roerblad. De schoorsteen ontbreekt. De zeeg loopt op naar beide uiteinden, rondspant. Schaal 1:40 (afgeleid).

Explanatory note

De schroefstoomschepen 4de klasse van 4 stukken St. Eustasius, lang 45 m, werd bij de Nederlandsche Stoomboot Maatschappij Fijenoord gebouwd in 1877-1878. Zij werd composiet gebouwd en was het eerste Nederlandse marineschip met compound machines. Bestemd voor dienst in Oost-Indië werd zij bij overdracht aan de Indische Militaire Marine herdoopt Bali. De Bali nam deel aan de Lombok-expeditie in 1894. Uit dienst gesteld en afgevoerd in 1906.
