Model of a pivot undercarriage for a 20 cm mortar, mounted on a base representing the deck of a ship.
Mortar and bed are both missing. The slide is slightly inclined and has rollers underneath, to ease the movement on the pivoting rails on the circle on deck; it has a brass pivot bolt.
The mortar and carriage of NG-MC-792, which were found separately and are possibly model number 46 mentioned in the additional list of 1889 (now NG-MC-1889-46), also fit model NG-MC-1372 perfectly. Model NG-MC-792 is an identical model with a cross section of a ship. The model represents a gunboat mortar on a bed.
