Description

Puntvormige 18 cm granaat. De granaat is 51 cm lang en heeft een kaliber van 176 mm. Hij heeft twee ringen ingeschroefde nokken voor een getrokken loop met drie trekkende velden en een buisgat. Bovenin zijn drie ondiepe gaten voor de munitie-kraan aangebracht.

Explanatory note

Deze granaat is een Common shell MK I 7 inch RML, die vanaf 1866 werd geproduceerd. Hij was bedoeld voor getrokken voorlaadgeschut, maar is door de Nederlandse Marine waarschijnlijk nooit gebruikt.
