Silver medal with on recto a woman with a star above her head and a torch in her left hand, representing Art, leading a winged woman with beehive in her right hand, representing Industry; on verso the inscription and laurels are depicted.
The Department of the Navy received this medal for its participation in the Algemene Tentoonstelling van Nederlandsche Nijverheid en Kunst (Dutch Art and Industry Exhibition) held at the Paleis voor Volksvlijt in Amsterdam in 1866.
