Model of a light beacon with light, mounted on a base.
The model consists of a metal framework on four feet. The stairs have a landing halfway and run up to the top floor through a trapdoor. On the top floor a small cabin with trapezoidal floorplan is erected. In each of the diagonal sides a door is indicated, and in the short side a small window with a hexagonal table outside for a lamp.
The identification of this model is based on probability. In 1866, Enthoven & Co presented a model of a light beacon with a light to the Navy Model Room:1 this might be the model referred to here. The original inventory describes it as a proposal:2 it is unknown whether it was ever executed at full scale.
Scale (derived) 1:20.
