Only one of the four samples this catalogue number1 originally covered has been found: N° 4, sandalwood. However, despite the inscription, this sample is not sandalwood.
The three missing samples were of Australian mahogany or yarrah (Eucalyptus marginata), shea oak (unidentified) and blue gum (Eucalyptus spec.).
These samples were brought back to the Netherlands by Captain P.A. van Rees in Djambi in 1863.2
