Description

Spantmodel van een schipdeur met drievoudige kiel, met sluisdeur. Aan de ene zijde geheel afgewerkt, de andere kant open. Aan weerszijden van een dubbele sluisdeur is een compartiment aangebracht, dat kan worden leeggepompt om de schipdeur te laten drijven.

Explanatory note

In Medemblik werd in 1798 de Westerhaven tot dokhaven getransformeerd naar een ontwerp van Glavimans; het model, dat de schipdeur van dit dok voorstelt, dateert waarschijnlijk uit die tijd.
