Explanatory note
In 1913 werd het Plancius verkocht, om te worden verbouwd tot een voor die tijd uiterst moderne taxi-centrale. Aan de achterkant verrees een grote bedrijfshal. Het complex was langdurig in handen van de ARM, de Amsterdamsche Rijtuig Maatschappij (taxi's en vrachtvervoer). In 1970 verliet de ARM het pand. (http://www.verzetsmuseum.nl)
