Explanatory note

In de periode 1911-1932 woonde op plantage Accaribo in Suriname de familie Brouwers van wie de foto's afkomstig zijn. Rond 1910 vond Theodoor Brouwers werk op plantage Accaribo. In 1929 werd hij eigenaar van de plantage.
