In augustus 2007 vond in Biddinghuizen de 15e editie plaats van het popfestival Lowlands. Het is één van de belangrijkste popfestivals ter wereld. Het festival duurt drie dagen en trok 55.000 toeschouwers. Het festival was al enkele weken van tevoren uitverkocht.
