? found under the debris of a house in Velzen, date unknown;{Leeuwenberg proposed an identification of the relief as _’t Hoofd van Gerard van Velzen, reliëf van marmer, gevonden onder de puin van een oud huis te Velzen_ (the head of Gerard van Velzen, relief in marble, found under the debris of an old house in Velzen), no. 210 in the list of the works in the Nationale Konst Gallery in The Hague compiled by C.R. Roos in 1804. Given the man’s farcical appearance, however, this identification seems highly improbable if made in reference to the nobleman of the same name who murdered Floris V. See J.
