Description

De gegoten ronde vijzel verbreedt zich naar boven toe en heeft een uitkragende geprofileerde rand. De wand is door zeven uitstekende, met drie knoppen versierde ribben, verticaal verdeeld. Deze staan door een parelrand over het midden met elkaar in verbinding. Daarboven en -onder zijn telkens zeven reliëfs, meestal in medaillon, aangebracht: Maria met kind en kroondragende engelen; Maria met kind en een lelie; Joris en de draak; het gelaat van Christus; het hoofd van Johannes de Doper; een bisschop; Catharina; Christoffel; de Verkondiging; een vrouwenfiguur; en een amazone. De uitkragende rand is versierd met een koordrand, een parelrand, een bloem en een naar rechts liggende Franse lelie, welke motieven zeven keer zijn herhaald.
