Description

De naakte vrouwenfiguur staat driekwart naar links met gebogen knieën op een bol. Haar haren wapperen in dezelfde richting als het door de wind bol staande zeil, dat zij met de linkerhand voor zich omhoog houdt, terwijl de rechter het ondereinde vast heeft. Rechts achter Fortuna vergaat een brandend schip en stapelen zich wolken op, links voor haar doorklieft een voor de wind gaande driemaster, met aan de voormast twee bolle zeilen en een klein zeil op het achterdek, het water.
