Flower Vase KO 734, Chris Lebeau (attributed to), 1924 - 1925
blow molding, h 35.7cm × d 20cm More details
Chris Lebeau called the series of flower vases he designed for the Glasfabriek Leerdam from 1924 onwards ‘Mould Glass.’ The name refers to the wooden mould into which the glassblower blows the hot glass. The design of these vessels is progressive and outspoken, sometimes with an industrial look and feel. This vase is particularly difficult to make because of its pinched at the waist shape. That is probably why it is so rare.
