Table Speed-Six, Carel Visser, 1988
Besides sculptures, drawings, and prints the sculptor Carel Visser produced several decorative and utilitarian objects. The structure of the table is rigorously composed of circles and semi-circles, while the heart-shaped legs and gleaming brass lend the piece of furniture a certain light-heartedness. Visser was an enthusiast of classic automobiles and named the table after a legendary Bentley racing car.
