Description
Bestaande uit twee halve bollen, de bak op een (ingedeukt) rond voetstuk met drie pootjes, het ajour bewerkte deksel met een lantaarn, waarin vier openingen en een oog op de top. Op beide onderdelen aan de buitenzijde twee ogen (oorspronkelijk drie), ter bevestiging van de thans ontbrekende ketting. De versiering op bak en deksel bestaat o.a. uit drie gelijk uitgewerkte bolsegmenten, over beide verdeeld. Zij zijn gedecoreerd met symmetrische ranken, waarvan de stelen uit drie ribben zijn samengesteld, welke zich splitsen, vermeerderen en eindigen in bladmotieven. De bovenste helften op het deksel zijn voorzien van symmetrische ranken, waarin twee viervoetige dieren zijn opgenomen, met koppen, gezien van terzijde en van voren. In het uitgespaarde bovenstuk een adelaar met gespreide vleugels.
