Offering Tray (Talam), anonymous, c. 1300 - c. 1500
In Indonesia, bronze objects were often used during rituals. This offering tray held ceremonial objects, such as a vajra (thunderbolt), bells, and mirrors as well as offerings, for example flowers and fruit. The two stylized figures and the bull embody supernatural qualities. The design is embellished with birds and other animals in the borders.
