The god Vishnu has many manifestations (avatars) of which Krishna is one of the most important. In the cult of Krishna the emphasis lies on the personal relationship with the god. But here too ritual acts play a key role: every day, believers worship images of the deity by bathing and dressing them in beautiful fabrics, and making offerings of specially prepared food.
